About our Lineages:

Nyingma:

The Nyingma School is the oldest of the traditions in Tibetan Buddhism, founded in the 8th century CE. It traces it’s origin to Padmasambhava, regarded as the Second Buddha of our time. The Nyingma tradition focuses more heavily on earlier Vajrayana traditions with a rich history of tantric ritual, with more emphasis on personal practice and experience. Our particular lineage comes from the Dudjom Tersar tradition, transmitted in the 19th century by Dudjom Lingpa. The lineage is highly regarded for its accessibility and adaptability to modern practitioners while still maintaining a rich spiritual depth and potency.

Gelug:

The Gelug School was founded in the 14th century CE by Je Tsongkhapa, and arguably the largest and most widely known school of Tibetan Buddhism. It emphasizes heavily on study of Buddhist philosophy and logical debate, while still maintaining an incredibly deep understanding of tantric practices. Our lineage was transmitted directly from His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lamas’ main Tutor, Ling Rinpoche, one of the most accomplished Buddhist masters of the 20th Century.
